Acoustic Panels & Ticket Booths

The Hoover Dam Visitor Center receives over one million visitors each year. AAM supplied and installed Acoustic Architectural Panels, Ticket Booths and Security Booths. The building hadn't been upgraded in over thirty years, and noise control was a large factor in the design. The project was challenging on a number of levels, because the Bureau of Reclamation wanted to include original images of the construction of the dam in the design and these images would have to span multiple panels. This was accomplished by using Digital Print Carbon Zero HPL® and AAM's CNC technologies to ensure perfect matching of the images. Multiple curved walls added to the challenge and the Facade frame solution solved the issues with uneven walls and odd radii. Matching ticket booths and a bullet proof security booth were designed and built to compliment the panels. All in all, there were over 550 acoustic panels and AAM supplied and installed the entire project.
